Our Race Academy is the perfect starting point for young riders ready to dip their wheels into competition. With Fall and Spring training programs and a focus on Island Cup and local events, this is where kids build their skills, confidence, and love for racing — all in a fun, supportive environment. It’s the first step on the Gravity MTB Racing pathway.

For riders ready to take racing to the next level, our Development Team offers a full 10-month training program designed around Canada Cup, BC Cup Downhill, and Canadian Enduro League events. Athletes build strength, speed, and strategy through focused coaching — with a clear path toward high-performance racing and personal progression.
train like a champion Spring Camp
This 6-day elite training camp is designed for committed U15 and U17 gravity athletes who want to kickstart their 2026 race season. With daily gym and on-bike sessions, strength and conditioning, suspension setup, nutrition, mindset training, and timed runs, it’s a full week of race-focused development. Limited spots. High-level coaching. Serious progression. For the first time ever — it’s open to the public.

Our highest level of athlete support — a race team built for the few who are ready to go all-in. Each year, six riders are selected based on performance and potential, earning a spot in our 10-month training program and support from Gravity MTB sponsors. Athletes compete across the Canada Cup, BC Cup Downhill, and Canadian Enduro League, with introductions to World Cup-level racing.

meet coach chad hendren
With over 25 years in the sport, Chad Hendren is one of Canada’s most respected mountain bike coaches. As Head Coach of Gravity MTB and National Team Downhill Coach for Cycling Canada, he’s led athletes from local trails to the World Cup stage.
