Whether you are a weekend warrior or an elite level racer, your suspension requires TLC and needs to be serviced regularly for optimal performance. The Gravity MTB Suspension Service Centre offers quick turnaround times and reliable premium suspension services in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.

Follow the steps below and let us make your bike feel buttery smooth, dialed, and precise!

  1. Click “Request a Suspension Service Estimate” above.

  2. Complete the request form as best you can. Review the Service Descriptions below for more detail.

  3. Our team will get back to you with an estimate for the cost of service shortly via email. The estimate email will include a link to our Service Calendar for you to choose a drop-off date and time.

  4. Drop-off or ship your clean bicycle/suspension item(s) at the Gravity MTB Garage (PO#1259 3274 3rd St. in Cumberland) before or at the appointment date/time.

  5. You will receive service details and an invoice by email, just go shred and enjoy the ride!

Service Descriptions

  • This service is typically $85 in labour.

    Changing dust wiper seals is recommended but not mandatory if your fork gets serviced regularly.

    By default, the estimate will include dust wipers (cost varies from $15 and $55 depending on Brand/Model). You can opt. out or leave this for us to decide in the service estimate request.

    In this service, we record all your settings, take off the lowers and drain the oil. We inspect and clean the fork. We change the dust wipers (optional but recommended), add fresh stanchion grease, soak the O-rings in oil and insert new oil in the lowers and rebuild the fork. We provide insight in the fork settings and inspection done during the service.

    Recommended after every 50 hours of riding.

  • This service is typically $85 in labour.

    Not applicable to coil shocks.

    Changing air can seals is HIGHLY recommended but not mandatory if your shock gets serviced regularly.

    By default, the estimate will include air can seals (cost varies from $27 and $70 depending on Brand/Model). You can opt. out or leave this for us to decide in the service estimate request.

    In this service, we record all your settings, take off the air can and inspect and clean the shock. We change the air can seals (optional but recommended), add fresh stanchion grease, add some oil in the air can and rebuild the shock. We provide insight in the shock settings and inspection done during the service.

    Recommended after every 50 hours of riding.

  • This service is typically $170 in labour.

    We will add a Dust wiper kit to the service estimate (between $40 and $90 depending on Brand/Model).

    In this service, we record all your settings, take off the lowers and drain the oil. We take apart the air spring components, take apart the damper cartridge and drain its oil. We inspect and clean all the fork components meticulously. We rebuild the damper with fresh oil and test it. We rebuild the air spring with fresh oil and grease and test it.

    We change the dust wipers, add fresh stanchion grease, soak the O-rings in oil, add new oil in the lowers and rebuild the fork. We provide insight in the fork settings and inspection done during the service.

    Recommended after every 100 hours of riding.

  • This service is typically $170 in labour.

    We will add an air can and damper seal kit to the service estimate (cost varies from $60 to $120 depending on Brand/Model).

    In this service, we record all your settings, take off the air can/spring, remove all eyelet hardware and take the shock damper components apart. We inspect and clean the shock meticulously.

    We change the air can and damper seals and add fresh grease on all seals. The damper is rebuilt and Vacuum Bled. The IFP is recharged with pure Nitrogen.

    The shock is then rebuilt with fresh oil and grease. We provide insight in the shock settings and inspection done during the service.

    Recommended after every 100 hours of riding.

  • This service is typically $170 in labour.

    We will change all damper seals during service, damper seal kits can vary from 30 to 100 $ depending on the brand.

    In this service, we record all your settings, remove all eyelet hardware and take the shock damper components apart. We inspect and clean the shock meticulously.

    We change the air can seals and add fresh grease on all seals. The damper is rebuilt and Vacuum Bled. The IFP is recharged with pure Nitrogen.

    The shock is then rebuilt with fresh oil and grease. We provide insight in the shock settings and inspection done during the service.

    Recommended after every 100 hours of riding.

  • This service is typically $100 in labour.

    Seals should be changed but not mandatory.

    This service gets rid of any sagging or slow extension.

    We take the dropper apart, clean it and inspect it. Then we change seals, rebuild it and bleed it. We recharge the air/nitrogen spring and test it.

  • This service is typically $65 in labour.

    These sealed cartridge seatposts can have their seals changed during this service but it is optional. Cost for seals vary.

  • Most suspension products have a 1-year warranty against defects unrelated to a lack of regular service.

    If you wish for us to take care of the warranty process, we can do so for a small fee of $40 which includes the initial assessment, shipping and dealing with the manufacturer's warranty process.

    As a 3rd party service center, we recommend checking with your dealer or the manufacturer of the product for known warranty issues on your product before service.
