From the first pedal stroke to the starting gate, Gravity MTB’s Kids Programs help young riders build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for mountain biking. Led by experienced coaches in a fun, supportive environment, each program is designed to meet riders where they’re at — from our Mini Shredders just starting out to Trail Wizards and Race Academy athletes pushing their limits. Whether it’s after school, during holidays, or all summer long, our goal is to help every kid ride stronger, safer, and with a bigger smile.

Girls Only
Led by an incredible team of female coaches and ambassadors, our girls-only programs offer a fun, empowering space for riders to build skills, confidence, and trail community. Whether they’re just starting out (ages 6–8), growing their skills (ages 9–13), or exploring the network and riding with purpose (ages 12–15), girls learn, ride, and progress together — with coaching that inspires, challenges, and supports them every step of the way.

Ages 4-6: Mini Shredders
Perfect for young riders just starting to explore the trails on their own. Our Mini Shredders program is designed for kids who can already start and pedal independently, and are ready to build confidence on their bikes. Through fun, skill-based sessions, riders learn basic bike handling and trail readiness in a safe, supportive environment.

ages 6-12
Designed for riders who are ready to level up their skills and confidence on the bike. Valley Shredders helps kids ride smoother, faster, and with more control — both in skill zones and on the trails. With expert coaching, riders develop core techniques like braking, balance, climbing, descending, cornering, and more.

ages 9-13
For strong intermediate to advanced riders ready to sharpen their skills and take on more technical terrain. These 2-hour sessions focus on advanced cornering, line choice, jumping, drops, and riding with flow and confidence. Coached by experienced professionals — and in some programs, all-female teams — riders are challenged to push themselves in a supportive, progression-based environment.

Ages 12-15
These sessions are all about riding real trails, making new friends, and building confidence through fun, coach-led exploration. Riders develop endurance, trail awareness, and on-the-go skills while sessioning features and navigating Cumberland’s world-class network. Designed for youth with some riding experience and fitness, this program is perfect for riders looking to grow in a supportive, social setting.

Intro to Racing
The perfect first step for young riders between the ages of 9-13 to explore racing. This high-performance program introduces the fundamentals of race preparation — from drops and line choice to cornering and confidence — all coached by experienced Gravity MTB pros. Includes local training sessions, pre-rides at race venues, and on-site race support.
